A Congrega Maria Santissima di Loreto was established by the early Italian immigrants at St. Anthonys Church in Buffalo, N.Y. on Nov. 26, 1905 with 150 members. In past years the feast to Our Lady of Loreto, special patron of the Vallelunghesi was celebrated with a solemn Mass, a parade with band and fireworks. The statue of the Italian Black Madonna is still honored at St. Anthonys where the annual special mass is still-celebrated.
